Illustrations of the different temporal rates

at which the dynamic color displays were changed within a trial

This page shows how many changes occurred over the first 1000 msec of a typical test trial for each of the RSVP test conditions (1000 | 500 | 250 | 100 ms conditions). They show only the display variable condition, but similar changes in rate were tested with the target and distractor variable conditions. Also it should be noted that the individual displays are filled in here, but were composed of small elements in the real experiment (see examples of the baseline displays). You can experience reasonably close animated examples of these test conditions at the Be the dynamic bird page of this site.
